One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house." The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house." Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. To all of my crack(ed)pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers, on your side of the path.|W|P|111528118170623202|W|P|Cracked Pot|W|P|nicanikole@gmail.com5/04/2005 07:45:00 PM|W|P|Nicole|W|P| Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die, or know that you would die without them it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they became everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without a trace of sound, u know that your own life is inevitably consumed within the beatings of their heart. We love them for a million reasons, no paper would do it justice. It is a thing, a feeling, only felt.|W|P|111526123347348883|W|P|Love Yoy|W|P|nicanikole@gmail.com5/04/2005 08:03:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Jeff|W|P|Wow... and I thought I was good with words. You ever get that feeling your inadequate, in the sense that you’re not what someone needs? It doesn't matter how much you love the person, you just don't have the things they need, want and deserve. And because of that you keep hurting and giving the person the wrong idea. I've been feeling it a lot lately and its not like it’s a new emotion for me. It has happened before...

I just keep screwing up and hurting him because of the way I am. He says I haven't but I know I have. I don't see how this is going to work if I don’t have what it takes and can't give what he needs in a relationship. It's a horrible feeling, realizing you cant give someone you love what they need to be happy. Maybe it's just the lack of sleep that’s making me more emotionally out of whack than normal. Whatever it is, this feeling definitely didn't come out of nowhere my tiredness just seems to be accentuating it. I don’t really know what else to say other than I’m just hurting and confused right now. And none of these emotions are anyone’s fault. I don’t know what to do.|W|P|111493837425544480|W|P|:/|W|P|nicanikole@gmail.com5/02/2005 02:18:00 AM|W|P|Blogger Jeff|W|P|:(
I'm sorry I gave you that impression. It's true that I did want to spend time with you... and it was kinda hurting that I couldn't... but I understand, in the end. I'm really sorry that you were hurting, I should've talked to you about it. I thought you had enough on your mind as it were... I guess that was a bad judgement call on my part. I'll try and be more open about what I'm feeling in the future.
